Hey all,
I've run into a problem that I can't figure out. I've searched all over the web and found more answers in this forum than anywhere else and I'm close, but I still can't quite get this working the way I want.
I'm running N3 and I just bought the Lexicon MX200. I've got an M-Audio Firewire 410 and the Audiophile 2496 as my soundcards and I'd like to use the MX200 in an 'External FX' loop via SPDIF. The problem is that while I can send signal to the MX200 via the SPDIF out, I can't see any signal back on the SPDIF in. It seems that each (the MX200 and either M-Audio soundcard) wants to be the slave and the SPDIF won't see a valid incoming signal from the MX200. This happens on both soundcards. I have it working at the moment by sending SPDIF out from the FW410 to the MX200 and then returning the signal from the MX200 analog outs to analog ins 1&2 on the FW410. This works fine but I'd rather not leave digital and go back through the A/D if I don't have to. I also assume that the unit will sound MUCH better coming back in digital since we are talking about reverbs and time-delay effects.
Has anyone had any experience with this or something similar? Any ideas that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and great forum you all have here!
