Sorry I'm late but I had download prolems in general. Oh yeah, where was I, KICK ASS! I could listen to youe stuff all night. Seems that you're expanding your pallet. I like thee percussion. Almost sounds like tablas. Very, very cool. :D :D

Glad you're back!

I missed your music! Great song, as usual. Sorry to hear you're working so hard, but I sincerely hope you get around to gigging with that friend you mentioned (and travelling to Chicago :) ).

For me, your music is beyond critiquing now. I just think you're an example for everyone here to notice that the gear you have is secondary to the imagination (not to mention incredible natural ability).

Chicago?!?!?!

don't you dare show up in Chicago withoat letting me know first... :p I'll take you to Ed Debevic's.. it's a popular restaurant downtown where the waiters and waitresses treat you like crap and throw stuff at you... it's a blast..!

oh yeah... and then I'll kidnap you.

:D :D :D

I made a HomeRec CD with all the best songs on it and started giving it to friends... needless to say, all your stuff is on it... (along with others like Sluice and macle, et al.) I'd rather listen to that than the radio.. go figure. :p

WATYF

Nice song dude.

I just have to say that you have a voice just like neil diamond! (compliment)

peace

If the guy's gonna come all the way accross the ocean we gotta take hime someplace better than that! I was thinking something more like Kingston Mines followed by the Green Mill....then haul him out to Detroit so crawdad can record him properly.

(if you wanna get really high-brow we could always take him to Primevera. ) but withoat a doobt, we would have to get him some real pizza... I know a great place on the south side... :p

WATYF

AMEN to that!!

oh yeah... I forgot Track... you're also stuck in this pizza hell that they call "St. Louis". The crap they try to pass-off as pizza around here is more akin to a cardboard box with ketchup on it... :p

I'm gonna be back "home" for a weekend on the 15th.. (business trip) and I'll be sure to stuff my cheeks full of enough pizza to last me until my next trip up there... :D

WATYF

hey...I always liked the deep dish pizza at Caleco's...down on Vandeventer....especially the bacon and black olive. It was kinda unique. but....Old town, Chicago was some of the best.

Looks like the Letter from NewYork thread has turned into "kidnap in Chicago". :)

Well... I guess I did find one decent pizza joint around here.. Track might know of it... it's right up by him. Franco's on Manchester in Ellisville has some pretty good deep dish... but still not as good... :p

Kramer... I think his next song will be aptly titled... "Running for my life in Chicago"

:D

(it's not like anyone minds that we're bumping his thread... it deserves to be at the top all the time anyway... )

WATYF

It's hard to find a decent one. There was this place in Ellisville called Jake's which was real Chicago style. A large weighed about 16 lbs. He closed down about a year ago. My girlfriend cried for three days. Yeah, Franco's ain't too bad.

your a great bunch

Good to know I wont starve if I come to the states (next summer for sure!) and if you all ever come to Scotland, Haggis and pints all round!

Cheers for all the great vibes chaps

Balshazza - glad you liked the tune. Niel Diamond, uh oh!

All the best

LETTER FROM NEW YORK

nice acoustic sound, very mellow........ vocal is very loud in the mix..... i like the sound of the voice, eq wise and presence wise........
BUT I THINK you could either bring the accompaniment up, or voice down.....but that's strictly a level thing, the performances are good and honest.....

really nice ending....... i like the reverb addition, and then the false fadeout-echo thing with the guitar........ very tasty.

"..........you all ever come to Scotland, Haggis and pints all round! "

Uuuuhhh...... Thanks, but i'll just have the pint.

Twist

Has to be said Erland, I Havent been on the boards for a while due to moving house, swapping cars, changing jobs etc etc, but whenever I come on, theres 2 people I look for new songs from, you and WATYF.

Yet again, you hit the nail on the head. Very nice song with a good feel. Means I'm gonna have to burn a new CD with this song on now to listen to in the car. pffft.

Sweet feeling in the guitar, very nice double tracking. Love the build with the rhythm and backing.

My only critical comment, and this has been my only dig with your other songs......I love the breakdown you do at the end....BUT its way way too short.
You did the same with 24/7, I loved the breakdown at the end, but you did it over the fade.......dude, you need to kick that in big time......

Not much else to add cept to say, if your ever down in the midlands, I wanna jam. :D

Peace

Nick
