Hey. I know I sound crazy but here is the deal.
I bought a digi 002 rack and PT LE system new about 5 years ago. I have a computer with two 80gig hard drives that I use exclusively for Pro Tools. I am running Windows XP and Pro Tools LE 6.7. The computer also has plenty of plug-ins (Waves, Maxim, Bombfactory, Joe Meek). I also use Reason 4.0. The problem is....I barely use my equipment anymore and it takes up a ton of space in my basement. The digi 002 rack has under 50 hours of usage under its belt. I don't smoke and the unit hasn't left the rackmount since I purchased it so it is in great condition. I also have an M-Audio Octane 8 channel Pre-Amp that I am willing to throw in for the right trade.
This is what I am thinking.....If anybody out there has a multitrack recorder that they are willing to trade for my system, I am willing to make the trade. My requirements are as follows:
Minimum of 24 tracks
Must be able to record 8 tracks at a given time
Unit is 100% functional
I live in NY so it would be best that this trade happens in person so all parties feel a level of trust and confidence that this isnt a scam and that this is a legitimate request.
Ultimately, my goal is to minimize the space that I am using in my basement for recording (considering I barely do any) but still have the flexibilty to record if I want to. I am leaving for vacation on Sat 1/22. I will check this post until I leave. I will follow up with it when I come back on 1/29. I want to give it some time to see if this posts drums any interest.
