Hey all you anonymous viewers... Yeah, I mean YOU!

First, thanks for reading and listening. Adds something extra to the Rumble to have so many people looking in.

I've noticed that the readership of the BBS usually has guest viewers way outweighing members and especially the dozen or so Rumblers. But really, you should consider registering with Home Rec and letting us know what you think. So don't be a stranger. And don't underestimate the value of even brief comments to the guitarists here.

well, yeah. if i had it, i'd volunteer. i think this is very cool. if i were a guitar teacher, i'd have students listen.

I can't afford and don't have time to get one.... I will later on, but I am talking like a year or more from now...
 
Thanks apl. Don't know about everybody else, but I find it gives an added dimension to a person's music when there are pictures and descriptions of how they work.

I'd like to join even though my soloing is so embarassingly newbie. I figure everybody including EVH was a newb at some point.

If I can just figure out a way to transfers the MP3 file to my AKAI DPS 16 then I'd be okay. I'm pretty sure I know how to do the rest.

I'll start by burning the background track onto a CDRW and then take it from there. Any thoughts?
 
Sounds good to me, and welcome to the rumble! Like you said, everybody is a newbie at some point, and we've all got something we can learn from each other.

(Now watch...Sage97 is probably actually John Petrucci. :D )

Can you burn it as cda, or wav, then transfer it via the cd on the machine? I am not sure as I don't even know if the dps 16 has one, but the info I found says it does. If that's correct, then that is probably what you need to do. Hope that works, as I'd love to hear a solo from you. Mr. Petrucci.

Can't load the CD (in WAV format) to the DPS. I feel like selling this thing and getting a PC based system now!

Oh well, you guys aren't missing anything anyway.
