After much trouble with Brown It is in and un-boxed.
Here is some shots before the torture starts.
As received from www.rondomusic.com. Totall cost includes shipping $157.97.
Included is:
Factory inspection tag (dated 5-30-2000 by a S.T.Kim- Korean is my take)
Cheesy guitar cable (radio Shack Type with molded ends).
Invoice from Rondomusic with 3 picks attached to it (Fender Mediums - will be in the trash)
Some frontal shots.
Shot of the woodgrain.
Headstock ( Which has tuners installed straight!)
Their ad picture: (look at the crooked "g" string tuner)
The Neck Joint.
So far lot of playing done(Steep learning curve with an extra string and the Low End) All have been doing is learning A Change of Seasons intro by Dream Theater, and alot of mind numbing power chords to explore the thump. (Blew out my speaker already after 2 days.)
There is a bit of string buzz on the low B, but not so bad that it interfers with playing. The action is a bit high but i will try to set it up tomorrow. All the notes play ok over the neck, sustain is fairly well. The guitar was shipped in tune (A first for me to see) and it kept the tune pretty well.
The pickup's say Duncan Designed on them. They sound fairly close to what a V8 sounds like on my Mahogany RG520QS. Really muddy on the low end, and lack of singing tone on the highend (Maybe a vintage tuned sound).
The craftsmenship is not all that great. You differences in seams where body wood pieces are joined (Not surface planed after construction) And the gromets for the strings to go through the body are not even close to being even. Will post close up later.
But now going to a 6-string makes me wanna wrap my entire hands around the neck(It seems puny!)
