Thanx ido1957 for ya comments and compliments.........It's all up to Lemon now!

This is the Ibanez used, the bridge is just your average Fender style bridge!....I don't use the whammy, so I just lock the bridge out against the body!

That was a great solo 7string...I really enjoy the diversity of each persons take on this song, especially it you listen to the original...it has gone from a folk rock type song to a guitar rock.....*you've come a long way baby* comes to mind.

I'm still holdin out for True cause i think her style can give this thing a whole new angle it's never had before, cincy kid is gonna give it a shot too, I'm well impressed with his style too...hope he figures that acid out and gets it to work for him.

I'm open to anything at the moment....can't believe the hits this thread has had and I've been delighted with all the efforts so far.

If you do happen to do anything, post a clip up by all means but a link to a DRY, no effects take of what you are adding would be great

I used to play a lot, but recently I've just played the entire hammond part for "Highway Star" and the second half of "The immigrant song" on my soundclick page. You looking for specific parts, the whole song, or anything that comes out?

I used to play a lot, but recently I've just played the entire hammond part for "Highway Star" and the second half of "The immigrant song" on my soundclick page. You looking for specific parts, the whole song, or anything that comes out?

Snake man....the way I have it in my head the hamond should be in the 4 bars before the guitar solo....3:19 or something, I forget right now. It's the part that goes D, E, G, E, D, C, B right before the solo maybe even the 4 bars before that on the Am, C, E part just building to a huge swell before the solo kicks in. I'm gonna pay more attention in my next life

So anyways, here is my first try at this song vocally. As I mentioned in the last post, I tried to follow your original melody Lemon, so hopefully thats a good thing (just a few minor changes in harmonies and lead)

I am a noob on recording so I hope my highs mids and lows dont suck. Here is the mp3 that has the whole song with a couple of harmony tracks in it, with no effects at all. I started to put chorus on the lead vocals but decided I would leave it raw and let you mess with it later.

Just my first try but thanks. Instead of doing more original like dogman and snake I went the path of the same melody as Lemon. Also I am clueless on redcording still so not much in the way of mixing it, but ty all the same

LOL!! I am the world worst recording person at the moment...I like reverb, and all those Patheon effects on Lexicon!!!!!

I did a one time quickie take...sucky actually..but I am going to redo them hopefully this week...DRY.
