I am just a newbe to home recording, with a somewhat good knowledge of mixers. However, in building my small home studio, I've found that when I plug in the XLR mic plug into any of the inputs, it only recieves it in the right channel. Is there an easy way that I can make the mic play through both channels? Or, if in the near future I wanted to get into stereo acoustic recording, then how could I pan one acoustic mic more to the left and one more to the right?

The equipment I'm using is
Guitar Tracks Pro 3
Delta 44
Behringer UB1202 Mixer
Nady SCM 900 Mic

Thanks

are you recieving only in the right channel of the mixer or the computer? and how are you coming to this conclusion, Is it through monitors/phones? on the mixer if the channel is not panned ( ie, center) you should get output on both the right and left.

You probably need to pan the track in your recording software.

The pan settings are exactly centered, and I know that it's only going through the right channel not only because I only hear it out of the right monitor/headphone, but also because the right meter is the only meter that even budges.

Even when I plug a TRS plug into the Line 5 outlet, it always plays in the right channel whether it's plugged into the Right Line 5 or the Left Line 5 outlet.
