lol not bad...its nice to see people not ashamed to rock the behringer equipment lol....oh yeah..i charge 50 a song...they still pay it.

I'm going to be putting up some pic of my studio as a build it. I should be getting started in the next we or so. Right now everything is laying on the floor in my bonus-room. :(

How's business going there.. you said you can usually get people in within two months!? Business must be booming huh? That's cool... keep up the good work.

Not a bad set up. Glad to see you have things running. I'd charge a little more on the recording fee. $25 a song is REALLY cheap. I understand you want business, but you're not recording with a 4 track and radioshack mics here. How about charging by the hour? That would definately give you more profit for more equipment.

Remember you can charge twice as much and if you loss half your business you still make the samething with half the work.

genious!! haha well im assuming you guys heard the samples streaming on the page? we've debated whether we should charge by hour, and we never folow through because we can never decide what is considered "charging time".

for example. we get so many horrible bands. horrible. and we need hours to track vocals. who is to say whether they should do it again or not?they are the ones spending 10$ an hour or so, and if they want to keep the first take, its their call, right? we decided this: when we can make things sound good no matter if we take 3 hours or 30 minutes on it, then we'll charge by hour. because if they are in a rush, no biggie, we can still make it good. of course no good things come out of rushed recordings, but you catch the drift i hope.

thanks

so, kind of new topic, but you guys think i should be charging more for my serviced than 25$ per song? i hope your checking out the samples on www.lbcstudios.com before you say it, not just looking at the goods.

looks nice. love seein' the 002. you should do the cliche shot of the Pro Tools mix window running. ;)
the great thing about you guys being so young is you probably have a ton of young musician friends dying to get their stuff recorded to hopefully "make it big someday"

Wow! I just checked out your samples, and I think, considering they are compressed, they sound pretty good. I can hear everything clearly.

The cool thing about charging so little is that you'll probably get lots of experience in a short amount of time. I'd bet you could charge more, and still get plenty of clients, though.

Nice website, by the way.
