large diaphragm condenser on guitar amp

if i mic a guitar amp up close with a large diaphragm condenser will it break the mic? i have a new apex 430 and i've never used condensers before so im not quite too sure of the do's and dont's of condenser micing

I used that mic on guitar amps for years. Always worked fine, and never hurt it. Generally, they can mic guitar amps all day and it wont hurt them.

Both, close mic with the 57, the LD about 5' away.

if i was to close mic with the large diaphram how far should i stay away from the amp or will it really not matter. im afaid of braking the mic

Place it where ever it sounds best, it's NOT going to damage the mic.
