Hi
I use a laptop on stage to play wavefile backing tracks. I also have an Edirol UA1A audio interface and an Edirol UM1-s midi inteface connected to the computer via a powered hub.
Everything was working fine (nice clear sound), until I spilt water on my laptop and had to get another one.
Now, even though everything is set up the same as with the old laptop, I find a very audible computer 'static' noise coming through the system. It is especially apparent when the computer is completing a new task (opening a new program).
I have tried moving the computer away from the mixer, with no difference. It disappears when I disconnect the audio interface, but of course I need it for the sound!
I also tried using the computers own sound output, but the noise is present there to.
I need to get rid of it - can anyone help?
Thanks!
