krk rocket 8 crackeling

Hi,
I have bought a pair of KRK Rokit 8 Rpg2s about a month ago, but for some reason one of them sometimes starts crackeling (out of the tweeter). I am not obsessed to have a completely noiseless and not buzzing recoring setup but that crackeling can sometimes be really annoying. When I listen to music I don't notice it that much but otherwise sometimes I am forced to turn the crackeling monitor off because it gets really irritating.
Does somebody know what I could do?

I would contact the manufacturer or the store you purchased the monitors from. You have a defective speaker.

Yeah dude, just return that one and get a new one! Crackling is no good.

yeah, thanks, I'll see if the warranty is still valid and return it. Alltough I don't know exactly if it was defect already when I got it or I broke something. Because sometimes it hapens that I forget to turn a volume knob somwhere down or have something set up wrong and than I accidently make a very loud sound, which maybe is too loud for the monitors, but than the other one should be crackeling too. Or I broke it somehow when I moved it. Don't know, but I'll see if I can give it back.
