KM 84 overheads

Hi all
I have the choice between a pair of KM84's or 414's. I know the best thing to do is use your ears, but can anyone give me a good starting place for using the 84's for overheads, in a stereo micing situation. Also some comparisions/differences to the distance/angle of micing. I have heard the 84's and i really like them, however im willing to try the 414's.

which 414's ? some are good for overheads and some aren't.

km 84's are beautiful mics, far superior to the nubs maligned km184. The problem is you have to either find a pair of good ones or be willing to drop the cash to bring them up to speck, eeeer spec or is that spock? The only 414 that's decent in my opinion are the old eb's with the actual c12 capsule. Again these are difficult to find in good condition but can be brought up to spock for reconditioning. If it were me i'd get the km84's but your not me in the microscopic sense but we are each other in the grand sense from the (non)universe's perspective.
