Ok lets just say im using the M-Audio Omni Studio. Then I use the monitor inputs on the breakout box for monitoring. Now does that but stress on my cpu. Because at this moment im useing the line out on my stock card for mointoring. By using the the inputs on the breakout box am I reducing cpu which in terms would reduce latencey. Right? blahhhhh

No. That does not put additional stress on your CPU.

You will have a lower latency if you use the M-Audio card, compared to your stock soundcard.

You will also want to download the latest drivers for your soundcard from the M-Audio site. ;)

Spinsterwun is correct. By the time your sound is to your monitoring system it's through with your computer. CPU usage is unaffected. I would not use the stock card to monitor in place of the Omni. Just plug your monitors into the monitor outs and your set.;)
