I have been lookin around for a midi keyboard controller that I will be using with Reason 3.0. Only needs to be 25-30 keys, I am in no way a skilled keyboard player. I just need somethin to bang out bass lines, melodies and beats. Definately has to be velocity sensitive and it would nice to have plenty of assignable knobs and faders. I have read a lot of forums and this seems to be a repeat forum topic but all I have gotten is mixed answers. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction for what I am using it for. I never owned a good keyboard so my frame of reference for quality key response is non existent. I got about $200 to spend so that does limit my selection, let me know what you think or what you use for similar situations.

Thanks,
C Dog

i also have the m-audio keystation. Is there anything else that is needed for it to work for midi instrument plugins like drums, piano, etc? Using cubase software?

Is this supposed to be a new question or just a comment on the thread?

Doesn't really matter, no one's been helpful anyways. I'll figure it out on my own as usual.

Keep up the with the attitude and you'll find yourself out of luck here. I was just about to try to give you a reasonable answer to the long post in the 'Newbies' forum, but I think I can find something better to do...

Just from your first response, it sounded like you were the one giving the attitude. Maybe I was a little frustrated but I'm trying to learn. Been a member here for 3 years now and try as hard as I can by reading as many threads as I can. The few rare times I do post, I get attitude or short remarks instead of help

Artists - they're so sensitive.

I just received my MK-449c - what a great device! Well made, well playing, with a whole lotta features. I LOVE it! :)
