Kasha quikmod experiences???

Welll, ....I'm always looking for tones.. ((GAS))

I like my tone with a Pedaltone, but its clumsy, and packed with features I don't need, looked around and found that thing.
Anyone know about it??
 
It's an overpriced tube gain pedal. Well, it's an external preamp that's inserted into your signal chain, and the two 12AX7's add a heapin' handful of extra gain. Big deal. Depending on what amplifier you have now, it can sound fine. But any 'good' gain pedal will make a 'good' amplifier 'gooder', so really spend your money the way you see fit. The Koch Pedaltone is really a much bigger Quickmod. If you have trouble handling a Pedaltone, maybe the Quickmod is a good starter pedal. But it is still all up to the amplifier you have now, and the tones you are after.
