Hey, I just picked up some powered Alesis M1 monitors for three hundred bucks. Here's where you guys come in:

I don't know if these are worth 300 bucks or how good they are etc., etc. Let me know what you think of them, and then let me know what you think are better for around three hundred bucks or cheaper. I have a month to return them if there's something better I can pick up, or I could always auction them off on ebay (looks like they're going for aroun 350, so profit either way).

Post links, too.

I just looked around for a bit and I found a pair of Studiophiles for 300 and a pair of Even 20/20s for 300, also. I take it since I've heard you guys talking about these a lot more, that they're probably better?

i have a pair in my studio along side some others. they're fine if you learn them.

I know something even better than!! How about Monitor Ones for $150. I caught some on scratch and dent at Musicians Friend. I opened them up and they were flawless. Must have been Demo units or something. I actually made the first scratch on them when I was setting them up.

p.s. (Mine aren't actives though; but if yours are actives then you saved 50 dollars more then me)

I purchased mine for 130.00 at MF on the same deal. And recently traded them strait up for a Yamaha midi module new worth 700.00.

I recently had a lucky NS10 sighting in a pawn shop. $75.00
