I bought the package with the lexicon lambda interface and cubase le 4. my problem is that i have it hooked up and the interface shows its getting a signal. im trying to just simply record my guitar through the intrument jack on the interface. the meter moves on the interface and is getting sound but its not coming through the computer. I have my VST input set at MONO IN device port is 1-2 in/out-1. audio device says lambda ASIO. i tried clicking the monitor button and it wont even let me hear it through the computer speakers. im pulling my hair out. I just bough a new sony viao computer and i know its got enough power im just not doing something right. please help. i dont know if im messing up trying to set up a intrument or what. when i go to add track and then instrument it says no vst instrument. im stuck. JUST WANT TO RECORD GUITAR.. im helpless

In cubase set the ASIO to Lexicon Lambda as you have done.

Set the gain on the input for your guitar on the interface low enough so that it doesnt peak (i.e. it doesnt make the red limiting light on the front flash).

Turn the monitor dial on the lexicon device to 12 o'clock - half way between direct and playback.

From here create a new mono track in cubase. Click the monitor button (little brown circle on the channel). On the menu on the left there should be a option called ouput - ensure it is set to the correct option. There is also an option called inputs - go through each of the inputs and play your guitar with each one selected. One of them should result in sound coming out. Hit record and off you go.

Sorry if thats patronising, just wanted to get all the steps in :)

you dont want to create a midi/vsti track... you need an audio track... double check the devices tab ... does the vst audio systems tab read asio and something about lamda??? then the adjacent panel should show available I/O and click to activate...

make sure the "monitor" button is on for the track you have your guitar routed to .. the little button above the rec button in the mixer panel f3
