I don't use Recorderman anymore. It's good, but it doesn't work for me anymore. I should edit that thread. My drums are in a different spot now and I'm using a custom Greg engineered Spaced Pair setup.

I hate dylan, i like this...my fave parts are the falling guitar at the chorus ends, the tick tock bass, and cymbals fucking everywhere
would not be out of place at a fag fest homo festival
good job dude no nits on the mix, nice spread and levels
Thanks dude. Yup, lots of words, typical Dylan style.Sounds great Greg. Drums sound really, really nice and the bass pops through very well.
I don't know much from this period of his carreer and don't recognize this one, but will check out the original later (maybe). The only thing that suggests dylan here to someone who knows him but not this song is the sheer amount of words used. The pacing of the vocals sounds awfully crowded, but you did a great job fitting it all in there.
Holy crap - the cymbal work on this is awesome.
Acid Eaters sold about 3 copies in Australia.
I LOVED it - but then I also Loved the Ramones' Spector LP, (except for the cheesie DJ announcer bit).
It demonstrated that the bruddas actually listened to a wide range of stuff as kids.
The Ramones would typically track 7 songs in 3 hours. Spector would spend 7 hours on one chord.
Sad thing is, that's not even an exagerration.
....and about fuckin' time too!
Dylan wrote some great songs, but I can't stand 5 minutes of him.
The only thing that reminds me of him in your version are the lyrics and that's good....
The recording is exactly everything we're used to hearing from you. Stellar drum sound, everything occupying its own space, no mud, no shit and a great performance. What else is there to say except....is Dylan finally dead???![]()
Lol. Thanks Joey. I had no idea so many people hated Bob Dylan.![]()
They're not tentative, they just suck. Lol. Thanks for listening dude.Cool. Love the lead guitar sound.
Can't come up with too many nits. Some of the vox in the chorus seemed to get to you - the whoa's right before the hook line were a little "tentative" in their delivery? I'm reaching.
With a passion! If you'd just make an album full of this stuff I could finally stand to listen to it and see what all the fuss is about with Dylan as this great songwriter! I'm proud of myself; I finally listened to an entire Bob Dylan song without running away, holding my ears, harming animals, or damaging audio equipment!![]()
Wow - what a mouthful of lyrics - he could sure write em. Pretty powerful rendition. Not sure the (acoustic) Dylan lovers would approve - remember when he bought a Strat? haha! Consistent good mixing sir!
Well, I don't listen to Dylan and I don't know this song, but I sure hope Dylan stumbles across this thread and sees how his songs SHOULD be done.
Good job.
Ohhh, nice ring on those ending toms!!!
