Thanks a lot Rami. I think your kick is usually fine, tight and punchy. But there's nothing wrong with playing around with it.Awesome! I don't know the original and I don't want to listen to it.
This has all the energy of a GregTune (tm). But your mixes get better and better, and I didn't think there was much room for that. I just realized I need a lot more click on my bass drum. Do you had a lot of highs on the kik at mix time. If not, tell me what kind of skin you use.
Great stuff. Nice to be back listening to a GregTune (tm) again.![]()
Here's my kick EQ:

I use an Evans EMAD batter head with the biggest damping ring installed for this song. I also had a pillow in the kick just barely touching the batter head, and not touching the reso at all. Pretty dry sound. The reso head is an Evans EQ3. And I use rubber Iron Cobra beaters with a pretty thick falam patch. That's probably where the attack comes from. Sometimes it's too clicky.

not bad gerg. sounds pretty dope. Im going ot be a totaly homo and say your vocals got some gravel. you got the giv'r behind them. I love it. nice touch.
I heard this original oddly enough my woman has it too. thats gay.
but i like what youve done with them.
personally id trade the kazoo for bagpipes but the kazoo is a signiture thing for you.
9 out of 10
-1 for way too much kick
kekekekeke i kid, you ugly fucker i kid. just jay kayin.
Lol. Thanks dude. The kazoos were decided at the last minute in-lieu of a traditional rip-roaring guitar solo. The original studio version has piano and backup ooohs and ahhhs during the kazoo parts. I didn't want a solo, piano, or backups, so the kazoo was the most logical choice.
