JM27 Shockmounts

I just got a pair of JM27's and the shockmounts that came with them, don't seem to fit on a regular mic stand? The threads seem too small.

there is probably a thread screwed into the thread. unscrew it and it makes it bigger

they fit all my mic stands. careful though, don't strip or cross thread your mounts or stands.

Doesn't seem to be another thread screwed in there. Any other suggestions? I thought there was one standard screw size for mic clutches and what not.

If your clips don't have brass inserts in them (so they'll fit on metric stands), then maybe you've got metric stands (which have a smaller threaded end on them)?

The brass inserts are removable from the clips with a large flat-blade screwdriver, or a U.S. "dime" ($0.10 coin).

What everybody is telling you about the adaptor is correct. The JM27SM shock mount comes with the brass adaptor already screwed in. Ala kid klash's post, stick a dime or flatblade screwdriver into the slot and twist lefty-loosey!
