Glad you got it working. Now go forth my son and make music that rivals the talents of Michael Bolton. :D
 
Glad it worked out for you. You may have saved all that effort by buying a decent soundcard to begin with.

After all I have read on this BBS about M-Audio I wouldn't take one of their cards on a bet. I'm looking for a Midisport 8x8 right now and I'm tempted to buy one of the older ones rather than the new ones made under M-Audio.

Oh, and why does M-Audio have all these problems????? Because they take whatever the factory in SE Asia sends them. They just write specs and don't actually engineer their products. I got that info from one of their dealers here in WA.

Not sure what you mean. the 2496 is one the most highly used/rated SC's on the market for Home Studios.
FYI, before the 2496 I had an E-MU and had the same problems only I thought it was the drivers.
In the end it had absolutley nothing to do with either SC, and had all to do with the PC tweaking.
