first of all let me get this straight...
Send effects are for things like Compressors right?
Insert Effects are for things like Delays right?
or do i have that backwards?
ok, i must be smoking crack or something...actually i'm probably just usuing it wrong, but when i try and use the Delay or reverb effects (as send effects) that came with my cubase LE, I get these whirling type sounds. i thought i was supposed to use them as send effects, but no matter what i tweak (including the presets) i end up with something that doesn't even resemble the desired effect. I'm literally just trying to apply the delay effect as an insert on a track and it sounds like nothing i've ever heard. almost like if you were to pump the sound through a sea shell...that airy sound like wind whipping through toilet paper tube. basically nothing like a delay. the Send effects seem to work perfectly fine...as far as i can tell. I've been recording for a long time and have just started using Cubase through my Presonus Firebox and into my mac. I'm guessing i'm just using the plugin wrong or something.
does anyone have any clue that the hell i'm doing wrong?!
thanks!
