Wow MaxB!! You really don't know when to quit, do you?

For the record, Creative bought E-Mu systems and Ensoniq a long time ago, so they all are the same company.

:D I have a lot of time in these days...

I'm so sorry, I wasn't aware EMU was the be all, end all of pro audio.

Back to the drawing board, I guess. You're right, no one here knows what we're talking about. Neither do Aardvark, M Audio, Digidesign, etc. because clearly everything can be done on a wonderful EMU product cleverly disguised as a crappy gamer's card.

I couldn't understand your answers... Really.
You are talking like a teenager.
It's evident that EMU it's not like Creative. We are into High School-like flaming.

Post a link to a pure wav file recorded in your home studio and let us hear the quality of your recordings!

By the way, I looked through the other thread you linked to Max......

*searches for hip waders for massive amounts of bullshit*

I also checked out the KX site. Kinda of reminds me of Apple when the G5 came out. :D

Duh???
I have posted the link at 18:42 (Italy time) and you ansered at 19:04. In 20 minutes you have read the other thread (and it was a big thread...), the results of the various RMAA tests, and also the KXDrivers forum!! I suspect that your real name is Flash Gordon! :D :D :D Well anyway your BBS status talk clearly: "Force of Nature". :D

Please, stop kidding.

Go to play with your Evolution keyboard and stop to waste time.

I didn't read the entire KX forum. If you had actually read the post where I mention it, you would have known that.

I guess you don't read either.

I don't have an Evolution keyboard, but I do have real instruments that require more than a gaming card to be recorded.

As far as the tests, I believe any test on an obscure website from Russia that I've never heard of just about as much as I believe Apple's "benchmarks" for their G5.

But at least the G5 is a nice computer.

MaxB,

Without trying to sound like an jerk at this point, you're beginning to sound like a troll to me. You're baiting people into an arguement that no one is agreeing with you on. The more you argue the situation, the more you sound like just another forum troll. I sincerely doubt people will ever take you seriously on this forum at the rate you're going.

My advise...let the issue die and move on. You're acomplishing nothing at this point.

Maxb,

Consider yourself special - you are the second person I'm putting on my Ignore list in this forum after Skyy38.

Can I hear a song?

About KX: obscure website??

Where you came from??

Polaris20: be happy!

Just like I said before my english sucks. A lot.
There's no need to continue. It's an infinite loop.

I couldn't understand. I'm saying that I'm able to achieve goog recordings with my "poor" sblive... And I have posted an example.
I would like to hear the difference between a Live! and a Delta, or a pro card. Is it possible??

Why? Because I've tried to say an interesting thing? Because I have a different point of view from you?

Brzilian consider yourself very special. You are the FIRST person I'm putting on my ignore list.

Be Happy.

MaxB,

I don't think anyone doubts the lives capabilities as a sampler. Ethan Winer (who's very well respected on this board as far as I know) has (if I remember correctly) said it's 90% of a dedicated good hardware sampler. With the kxdrivers I know you're even closer, because those drivers are really versatile. The capacity to remodel the card and exchange the effects (with f e APS-effects) makes it a great tool - as do the asiodriver. The kxDrivers also do some stuff (like exchanging outputs) to improve the audio. You keep mixing this discussion with the recording part and you are doing both yourself and your card a disservice.

As long as it's soundfonts playing, yes, the live is ok, nice even. And two or three audiotracks in a mix wouldn't kill the song - but more tracks - more problems.

btw. As you can replace the soundfont capabilities with software, nowadays it's no big thing anymore, it's nice, but not essential.

btw2. I have two livecards, on one of my computers (not the studiomachine - but this one) I even have the kxdrivers - but I haven't really explored them.

Grundig hand made in Germany back in the 70's.
My parents used to have a Grundig TV.
Didn't know they did studio monitors.
Anyway. I think you're overlooking the biggest benefit of 24 bits. Software effects, rounding errors, etc. etc.
If you don't hear it, fine. That's just you and I'm cool with that.
But what you (don't) hear just doesn't necessarily equal fact.

Ok Beltrom. Listen here: download KXDrivers version 3534. When you succeed to install it correctly mail me a private message. I will explain you how to improve the recordings with Live+KXDrivers.

I didn't think what I said was that harsh. I didn't call you an asshole, an idiot, a moron (or any of the other things I am actually thinking).

You might want to get a little thicker skin if you're going to play on the information superhighway.

EMU is Creative, maybe you didn't catch the post by Brzlian about Creative owning EMU.

You're now the first person on my ignore list, simply because you're an idiot.

I know that Creative own EMU. But what I've tried to say is that EMU products was developed by EMU engineers and no Creative ones. So the quality of the acquired EMU technology it's not debatable.

You're now the first person on my ignore list, simply because you're an idiot.

I'm afraid for the size of your brain. The only thing you can do is to add people with different points of view to ignore list only because you feel offended when you see that your skills are so limited.

My intent was to do a discussion comparing the tests results and wavs with different cards (RMAA test again). I think this is not a stupid thing.

Polaris20 you are the second one on my ignore list - after Brzilian (God Bless) - simply because you are not interested to confront yourself with others. You can say you think different from other people, yes, but then you must explain your reasons otherwise there's not sens at all!

Polaris20, I suggest you to write more messages in the Dragon Cave. You will be very happy there.

Be Happy!

Way to go and make friends MaxB. I don't put people on my ignore list, but you pretty much lost any respect from me.

I would like to hear an example. Can you post an example of a recording where you have used 1/8" mini plugs and one with TRS and XLR? MaxB
Non un problema.

A clip containing an example of each.
Even at 160 Kbps the difference is obvious.

Hey I have an idea -- Why don't y'all start a new thread, so that way every time there is a post JOTOSUDS doesn't think there may be some actual valuable information pertinent to the original question. Everybody on this thread looks like a monkey, including me now.
