Is the Digitech GNX3 the greatest guitar processor out right now?

looks like I learn the hard way

Well , I got the GNX3 and I love it and I get great tone from it and it has all the features I want, but the 8 track recorder-Jam Man was'nt recording, so I brought it back to MArs and then went to Sam ash to get another GNX3 that would work right. Everything was all as well till I tried the recorder for the second time, after tweeking some effects and the damn thing wouldn't work, like the first one I got. Not only that, but the manual was all screwed up. It was missing some numbered pages and gave me some of the pages twice in the manual, like someone putting the manual together wasn't looking at what they were doing. So now it's Sunday night (i'm laughing, no really, I am) and I can't do a gosh darn it thing about it, friggin digi#%*)8$@............ Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I have the thing in record mode, it's supposed to record and I went thru all the record set ups and made sure everything is the way it should be, but I think it's digitech who's got this product screwed up!
Does anyone own this thing that might be able to help me? but I really think it's digitech..bla bla bla...this is my wonderful sunday, now I need to put this GNX3 crap down and go watch the game................go KINGS!

Take it back, buy the J-Station for $150.00, and take the extra $350.00 and put it in the bank.

Or take that extra $350, and buy yourself a condenser mic (AT3035, SP C1) a SM57 and an Audiobuddy and GO MIC YOUR AMP!!!! :D
We told ya dude, way too much useless features. I'm still playing around with my borrowed Digitech RP-7 and it's working for me fine. Especially the Cabinet Simulator. The 9 cabinets go from hard/sharp to dark/mellow. Somewhere in between is the best (3 or 4), with 1 being the aggressive one and 9 being the most mellow one...

Really, ditch the DigiTick and go find a J-Station or something like that... ;)

so then what happened? did you get a new one that works?

I Agree With EMMETT here,

The POD is way better than the Genesis 3.......

I've been demoing the G3 for the past 5 days now, and I find the tones all so "over-processed"......except a couple of "clean" ones - which are pretty good....

as for the effects, well - YES, the G3 has more than the POD, but the LED accessability function is quite tricky to use....and most of those effects are kinda gimmicky, that you probably wouldn't use 'em anyways...me thinks....

Unless ya gonna do some Stevie Vai stuff :-)

I used to think that the POD sounded kinda THIN at times (yes I know it's not as good as a *REAL* tube amp - guys :-)...but compared to the G3, it's way better...and when ya really get to know all the POD features...it can do pretty much what the G3 can....

The GNX3 (sound-wise) is based on the G3, so although I haven't used it, I expect it to be very similar in amp modelling performance.....

I'd like to hear from any folks who've used the new REPLITONE MP from Rocktron....I've read it's better than the POD pro....which sounds good to me......

Any takers on that??????

Wow! I haven't been to the site in about 2 months and then I get an E-mail saying someone has responded to one of my responses. I miss this place. My J-station still works for me but not having tried any other units I could be wrong. What would really be cool is to have a dedicated warehouse with about 20 Marshalls stacked, a Gibson Les Paul, a case of Bud and some bud and all the time in the world. Put that in a modeler and this string is done. Did I mention the bikini babe?
