Is microphone acquisition addiction a registered mental illness?

'Cause it should be. I just bought a nice mic yesterday, and I want more! For me, it comes in phases. I can lose the urge to buy more for weeks at a time. I guess I just get addicted to hearing their differences, and I think I get vaguely excited by a really amazing acoustic guitar tone. I know, I know, it's pretty disgusting.

Anyone want to share their degrading stories of microphone addiction with the rest of the group? Or are you all still in denial?

Yes indeedy! The diagnosis is OCD, Obsessive-Cumpulsive Disorder. If you do something, anything, to a certain point, you have an obvious problem. Wash your hands 300 times a day, you're looney. But is it true that you changed your PC from ACPI to Standard PC and were able to run 15 separate instances of plugins? I think is was a thread on the Amplitube Plugin?

I finally switched mine over a few weeks ago and noticed a slight increase in performance but noting like that.
