Thanks guys for replies. There seems to be differing CPU abilities with your 1gig t-bird brokenwindow and your p3 700 timothydog. Like you said it could be something to do with the buffer, which I'm not too familiar with, BW.
On the other hand BW, on second reading of your posts I'm not sure what you mean by...
"I just put 1 ozone on top of each other and turned on all the effects on all of them.."
If you're saying what I think you are, I'm not sure why you need to boot up any more than one ozone. Do you mean you are running a chain of 3 of them - ie 3 ozones each with their 6 effects switched on = 18 ozone effects in total? That is a supercomputer you have there if that is the case!!!! Don't worry about the buffers!!!! Keep them!!!!!
If you are running more than one ozone in it's entirety are you sure you need to do this?
Thanks for reply on bit rates tim'dog. I too hope to upgrade to 24/96 hopefully in Feb some time and am following threads on soundcards at the moment. Hopefully 24 bit won't slow things too much.
Cheers BW & tim'
Good points 3 & 4 YMMV. Point 5 - I think the graphs are particularly good because you can watch them all the time you are working with any effect that alters their shape and the saving and overlapping frequency graph feature is so helpful. You know exactly where you are not just aurally but graphically at all times with any change you make - so practical. Try doing that with waves for pc - with that program you are working blind.
