Use high bias for musical aapplications. The only time I would use high bias is for recording speech or something.

Whats the deal with this Bias stuff on tapes. I am pretty sure what it is. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Biasing is when you combine a high frequency signal (Above the range of human hearing) with whatever you are recording to tape. (This part I'm not to sure on.)This causes better high frequency reproduction.

Now the $1,000 question. What are some applications of this? When would you want to use a High Bias or Normal Bias? More importantly... Which one would be the best to use to record a demo tape?

Do you mean "Use high bias for musical aapplications. The only time I would use normal bias is for recording speech or something."? Or am I just misreading that?

Oooops...you're right. High=music, normal=speach. Sorry, its been a long day.
