Thanks guys. I was doubtful about how a remix would turn out doing it at home as I don't have very sophisticated sample rate conversion and needed to do that. Original DAT was at 48kHz and I had to rely on Wavelab's conversion to 44.1 which worked pretty well to my surprise. The original mastering guy used an analog transfer through high end converters, processing, and A/D back in for the CD master.
But it just occurs to me now... if a wav file is going to be converted to mp3, does it even have to be at 44.1? Let's see... well, my mp3 jukebox app with the mp3 conversion I usually use doesn't say in its help files. Guess I should try it but don't have time today.
The little bit of reverb that's on it was in the original tracking... to make my headphone monitoring sweeter sounding using an Alesis Microverb. The Lexicon hardware reverb that's in the first version was put on top of that. Well live and learn... for the last few years I as a rule never use any processing going in.
