El Colibri

Recorded this before I became gear crazed - w/Shure BG 4.0 mic's using pre's of an old Yamaha MT3X multitrack. Composed by Julio Sagreras.

Wow TL!

If I could play 10% as well as that, I would have to start considering myself an honest to goodness guitar player.

Astounding. Great Job.

WOW! Don't know what else to say, but..."Awesome!!!"
Thank you for that.

…refined skills
Thanks True. But really, I think any refinement with this particular one has more to do with the 99 takes I did to get sections I could edit together!

Nakatira, thanks and thanks for listening.

Incanus, thank you… I’ve heard your playing and you’re an excellent guitarist – I couldn’t do what you do. IMO NPM is just superficial mechanics.

Dogman, thanks for listening.

…did you have any nails left
Travis, thanks, and the funny thing is that the only way I could get a useable sound with those old harsh brittle mic’s was to play very softly - kind of whispery.

Jack, thanks for the listen.

…And a nice sounding recording
Thank you Metalhead. Well, I’ve gotta say that the ME who did the final work on it for me added some Lexicon verb that makes it a lot sweeter to my ear than the raw track was.

Rami, thank you - I appreciate it.

Oh Tim that is very very nice. I don't think there's much to improve on. I will play this recording for my son tonight.

*edit* My son likes your song. You're in.

Hey, I'll field that one Casey.

That would be the former age-group, Tim. :)

lovely piece and performance, i love the tone of your guitar... that's no $99 yamaha!

...

Timothy,
Thanks for sharing. That was truly awesome...so soothing to the ears. Do you have more recordings, in addition to the works on your site?

Incanus, I’ve always been a Sesame St. fan, so I fit right in with that age group mentally… that’s what my wife tells me anyway.

Rick, thanks for listening.

[…tone of your guitar...
Madmush, thanks for that… No, not a $99 gtr… funny though because it was actually a $250 guitar! At least, that’s what the materials cost. I built it during a year I studied guitarmaking with a luthier friend of mine.

Dave, thanks. Yeah, a couple of CDs… I think they’re pictured on the 2nd page of the site. Other things in the works right now so more hopefully out in not too long. Thanks for asking.

Wireneck, thank you for the compliment, more so because you’ve got such an impressive technique in your own playing.

MrScary, thanks for listening and welcome to the forum.
