I'd love to get any form of help with this kind of mix.

Hello!

Here is a short sample of thing I recorded recently.
http://www.voila.pl/049/7bs9k/index.php?get=1&f=1

To do this, I used open les paul, 112 cab, ribbon microphone, EzDrummer, Broomstick Bass
distortion is from tubescreamer 808 and slightly distorted clean tube amp. Thats really not much gain. I played it a lot stronger than usually.

I dont like it, it doesn't rock... Please listen and tell me what should I think of first (Despite selling guitar and all the stuff)

I'm going to record album at home, I have lots of ideas. I'm getting disappointed with production issues though. I have been recording a few times. Here are my previous songs at soundclick: www.soundclick.com/thealmostanalog

The problem is that I cannot make stuff sound big enough, I've tried various compressors, equalizers, presets and setting things manually.

Regards, Luke

what i think is, that:
* find real drums, recording space and drummer.
* you dont have almost any bass, turn it up a bit
* solo guitar is pretty quiet, turn down the rythmic guitar.
* guitars are little bit muddy, they are missing some clearance.

(shouldn't this be at mp3 clinic?)

Thanks. Yep I think it should be there, my mistake.

I'm not sure how can I achieve more clearance in guitars track.
