AlChuck, very, very cool. I love that tune. I really like the modulation. Maybe a bit heavy on the echo but I dig it.

Thanks, man...

I need to learn to mix the next day after tracking, not moment after...

"Streets of London"

is a really basic, straight forward, simple little cover. It's not bad, but I've never heard the original, so I have nothing to compare it to. It just sounds like good, down-home home recording to me, that's not all effected-out or overproduced, like lots of other stuff you hear around here.;)

That cover of Come Together is pretty good!

Was that recorded live? It sounds very D-I and "studio" to me.

I'll post a cover in a few days. I'll just have to sleep on the mix first :D

Yup "Come Together" was live. I have a video of the performance.

Eurythmic, I listened to "Someone Else, Not Me". Very nice job. The background vox are especially nice. I swear it sounded more like Lennen than Durran Durran to me. Great job.
AlChuck, bad link. I couldn't listen.
Jgourd, That was done live, like at a bar? Not bad at all. Good lead on that.
Dave, that was an ambitious tune to three piece. Cool:D
Shit, I may have to cover something else. This is fun.

Actually, outdoors. I have a video in VCD format of that track. Beware, it is 44Megs.

WTF? The link has that form that this BBS has long used, where the displayed text is abbreviated when the URL is longer than a certain size, but the actual URL is fine... except that when I looked, the link is also abbreviated! I wonder how that happened? A new feature? Anyway, let's try that again...

Got it now. I dig the clave. Funky! Decent mix too. Very cool.

Pretty cool TR...... you did a good job, including the voice!

On an aside........ I'd be curious to hear everyone's take on everybody doing exactly the THE SAME cover! It would be an interesting exercise to hear how different (or how close) people could get to the original!

It could be our own little track/mix-fest!
