will a i5 with 5400 rpm run sonar 8.5 and some sampletank track ok.... its almost impossible to find a 7200 rpm hard drive

thanks

check online for the fast drives, I know thay did sell them on Ebay a while ago

its ok for hosting software but dont use a 5400rpm drive for tracking audio, buy a external 7200rpm (or even a 10,000 rpm) usb to record to.

7200 RPM drives are easy to find, I would suggest checking again.

You can pick up very decent solid state drives for not all that much more - faster more reliable and quieter.

I just replaced my drive(5400) with a 7200 RPM, world of difference. They are easy to find, the local Best Buy had half a aisle of them. $80 for the one I got.

lol...I've been tracking with a 5400 rpm drive for 2 years now.
