Heya, Waldo been busy setting album sales and such...

SittinIdol, just rounding up the troups to come see your show tonight, and hang with Innersurge for a bit. Should be at the Alley by about 9PM tonight, hope to see you there (well, okay, you better be, you're the headliner)!

Everybody else, I'll get back to reviewing soon, there is the pressing matter of making some money to stay alive that needs to be taken care of first ;)

You guys are pretty darn good live! Sorry I had to leave so suddenly in the middle of your show, my buddy bailed rushing into the pit on a puddle of beer... Nailed his head pretty hard. Had a pretty harsh concusion, so I had to get him home and crap...

Let me know when you are playing again, I'll see if I can weasle my way in.

Waldo, thanks a lot for checking us out! Sorry to hear about your friend, from what I hear someone on the floor was being an idiot and smashing beer bottles on the ground. Some people huh! Anyways keep us updated on the local scene!!

Well, yeah, I been busy, but decided to revive this thread and get to those folks I missed.

Digital Don - Tunes gone! Did you move it somewhere?

Henrik - You still know - Like the the structure, and the harmonies. I think it needs a little more in the upper spectrum though, maybe some female backing vocals. Nice mellowed out tune. The mix is a 'tiny' bit muddy.

Rick - Which tune? May have only been one up way back, but I've been so ditzy lately, haven't even been out to watch many shows. Doing anything this Stampede week?

iStyle - Looks like the tune go bye bye, got it somewhere else now?

Anybody else, I've got a 'little' time to listen here and there, so drop a post in here and I'll pop it up when I get a chance.

Waldo,
The band imploded shortly after I recorded them. The bass player (songwriter and creative talent of the deceased band) plays in my son's country band. I still encourage him to pursue his own style/sound as well as playing in the band. It was really a shame because these guys had a great unique sound.

Sure as hell happens, rather constantly at that. Been around 9 bands that dissolved into thin air in the past 5 months.

I've already been told about my vocal issues but, I like the way you critique songs. Your a no bullshit, true lover of music so, I thought I'd share:)
Of course, you might have heard it, as it is on your site. song is called "sunshine storm". Sam on all intruments, theron on lyrics and attempted singing.

Theron - Sunshine Storm - Vocals are a bit high and center in the mix, drop 'em down a bit, and eq' them a little more to the tune. I'd prolly say a couple delays and sustained echo behind your voice will help it blend as well. A harmony layer would be a not bad idea... Want to make it a three way collab?

Break at 1:40 made me jump. Listening to it flat, there is a way too much high-end in it, if I boost the bass, it helps out alot, so bring the overall down a notch, or rather bring the bottom up. I'd still clip out some of the highs a bit, they are a bit rough on the ear.

I havn't eq'd any of the vox. I'll try your suggestions! I would love to hear a contibution from you on this. Alas, if it is OK with Sam, it is way cool by me:) I'll send him a hint and see what he thinks.

Only problem I got is that I'll be using a cheap ass mic (sony v-5), yeah, plastic toy... Don't got anything better to work with since my gear was nabbed. But on the plus side, I did get a mic pre/mixer donated by Monty ;)
