Ah, that makes sense - hopefully it will get there a lot sooner than that.

Have fun with it. :)

What is your intention? Looks like you're whole plan is to connect 1 mic to the computer.

Me too.. Thanks! :)

I want to connect one mic to the computer, what I can't do without all of it.
The built-in sound card in my computer has a lof of background noises, it doesn't provide 48v of phantom power - So I had to get the Fast Track Pro, which is an audio interface that match my needs.
The $2 microphone that I've been using till now is also not a good quality, so that's why I took the MXL 990.

I want to record vocals and an acoustic guitar through this mic.
I want to connect my electric guitar directly into the interface, then use a VST effect in order to make it sound better. A software such as the Overloud TH1.
I want to get high-quality recordings, like in a recording studio - and start building my first PC-powered home recording studio.

Maybe in the future I will want to connect more than one mic..
If you read the whole thread, you would see that I chose an interface with more than one input - just in order to have more flexibilty.

I'm sure that I'll become more pro while I'll learn on the road.. So, at this time I can say without any doubt that "I'M JUST A BEGINNER!".

Hey everybody! I have an update for you.
I received the package 3 days ago, and i'm so satisfied with it! I feel in a professional studio, and get very high quality recording. It's for sure much more than I expected!!
It works just fine!
By the way, I have a question.
What has to be the connection on the interface or settings in order to hear through the headphone both the playback from the computer and the input of my microphone at the same time?
Thanks again! You're so good!!

I can't answer your specific question, but I wanted to say that I'm glad you're making progress and enjoying the process {that was abstract poetry}.

Glad you're liking the new stuff! :)

Looks like you might be looking for a direct monitoring button on your DAW. It's a button that allows you to hear whatever input you're recording at the moment.

Hey, I want to share something with you.
I recorded my first recording, and uploaded it to YouTube.
If you wanna see it and give me recommendations and so on I will be more than happy.
Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88FsJNlAqaY
By the way, I really appreciate all the things that has been done for me by you.
Thanks and have a nice day,
Yuval.

Nice clear guitar playing, interesting voice.
At the start of each line, there's a split second time lag so the vocal sounds like it's coming in fractionally late each time.
It's good to see you enjoying the art of recording. Do you write your own songs ?

Thanks. I noticed the lag but it was very late and I just wanted to upload it to YouTube.. But never mind, It's my first recording - I don't expect it to be perfect, but I'm still satisfied with the results.
I don't write my own songs, but maybe I'll do it in the future - It's one of the things that I want to do so much but I don't know how.

Not bad Yuval, not bad at all for a first time recording.

Where do you live?

Writing your own material isn't all that hard at all. You just have to have a "hook" that is a catch phrase, Then a melody, and just let your emotions flow.

It was a little hard for me at first to write a song but as I got better at it it just seem to flow out of me. In fact I can still remember the day that I wrote a whole song in my head ~ actually the whole thing just popped in to existence before me and I was like a medium that allowed the song to appear in this world.

Keep at it man, you'll be selling number one hits in no time.

Hey,
First I'm so happy to hear all of these compliments.
About your question, I live in Israel, but planning to move to the USA within a few years when I'll become older (I'm just 16..)

Edit: I'm serious, don't think that's kid's way of thinking...

Serious about what? Are you planning to move to the U.S. for any reason in particular?

I'd say he has ambitions to move to America; it seems, reading between the lines, that it's a long held dream with the US representing a kind of promised land. The Rolling Stones used to feel that way.

Yes. I will explain what I meant.
Most of my life are related more to the U.S. than Israel.
I'll tell you why. I buy more things in the US, I speak more English than Hebrew, I watch more American movies than Israelian, I like the American culture, Things that I like are more reachable there, everything is in big - not like a toy, I'm interested in programming that works better in the US, I want to study there because the classifications there is more respected worldwide and much more. I know that there are also many advantages for living in Israel but I still think that I prefer America.
And many people I know told me how fun they had there when they were there on a trip - so if make a survey, like 100% of the people that were there came back fully satisfied.
In other words I'm more connected to the US with my everday needs.
Everything I'm searching I do that in English. I'm sure you got it.

No. America isn't a dream for me. I'm, in contrast to most of the child at my age, much more graduate and serious. I'm not the one who's being impressed by things he sees in movies or serieses. I really know what I'm gonna do and how - I'm planned and I consider everything before it's being done.

It seems like it was translated using Google Translate - Because I didn't understand anything. It's one of the worst sentences-translator in the world.
Can you tell me what you meant to write in English? Thanks.

Wow ! That's pretty progressive.
What's pretty progressive? The Hebrew language?

Read it right to left :laughings: I'm only joking!

What I said was to save up now for a rainy day for hand outs are very hard to come by.

I wasn't surprised I couldn't understand exactly what you meant ....but I do now.
