I have a total of 3....one is fine....last week I traded with someone on here to pick up 2 more...they have pretty bad ribbon sag....I was able to retension one but tore the other.....anyone know were I can pick up replacements?

I was wondering the same thing. I bought one from the same person, and I'm sure when it gets here I'll probably tear the ribbon trying to fix the sag myself.

Google

Google "Ribbon Microphone replacement material"

He's talking about buying aluminum foil from Lebow, you would have to corrugate it yourself. I've been thinking a foil group buy might be a good idea, since the minimum quantity required is way more than one needs to do a handful of reribbons.

Hook it up!!!

I have one also and I'm thinking about a second one. Didin't open the first one yet but gave it a quick test drive and sounded good. I may be able to mill a 2 part jig to put the bends in the foil and I could pass it around for those in need.

One approach is to scavenge a couple of gears from an old typewriter or broken printer.

Do the "steps" in the foil need to be a certain dimention in the corrugations for sound purposes? If not, the gear idea is GREAT! Gear + rubber pad?
