I know that would do me good, but my price range isn't that high as of right now. I can go to the highest of $500-$600 tops. But I wish I could get it =[... Thanks for the input though.

lol It's okay. Hmmm, so which specs should I look out for? I mean, that M-audio has over the EMU? I really appreciate the help!! But you mean to tell me I can use Pro Tools LE on it?blazingstrings said:Oh sorry!Forgot to reply to the 1812 question, I forget my head sometimes.
I would still get the m-audio. Build quality and converters of the M-audio still beat the E-mu's.......
Plus if you want to get into Pro-Tools most M-audio cards are compatable now. ANd if you want to use other stuff its all there.

blazingstrings said:I think DXL ment the M-Audio Tampa, and it is a great pre-amp but only a single chanel so if you need to do more than one at a time then it wont work for that. $400!!!!! Wow I havent looked at one of them since my friend built his studio, they have come down a bit in price.
Oh, Gawd! I wish everyone would get off this f**cking M-Box and E-mu kick!
THEY FRIGGEN SUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Do yourself a solid and buy a good card or interface, M-Audio, RME, Presonis!
Nuff said!
MPLSallstar,

The Axis said:To tell you the truth, you can get a lot of really quite good preamps in one cheap package by buying a Behringer, or Mackie, mixer with direct outs.
I have compared these directly with other much more expensive preamps and they sound very good.
