I Need Help...house Was Robbed.

2 days ago, I went out of town, and forgot to leave the lights on.
Well, I come home to find my studio was ramsacked, all the equipment was taken, except for a mic stand, and a few cables.

Whoever done it, really didnt fuck with the rest of the place, so I'm assuming it's someone who knew what I had.

At any rate, I have renters insurance, but they only want to give me $5,000.00

So, basically, Im fucked, and I need some help.

As you know by now, I record ONLY rap vocals.

Here is what I need.
I want to spend ONLY $4,000 of that on equipment, as the other $1,000 will go for a computer, and I will upgrade it later.

So, I need.

Mics
Soundcard
Preamp
Headphones 2pr
Monitors
And cables.

SUGGESTIONS?

Sorry to see this happened.

I really don't know all that much about rap vocals, but including an EV RE20 (or PL20) is a good idea along with everything else IMHO.

Yea, I made the mistake, of not writing down the serials, never thought I would get robbed, but I'm pretty sure I know the guy that done it, so I sent a couple people to kick his door in and find my shit.

You should post what was taken -- it's not impossible that someone on these boards will spot the stuff on the used market. Orchestral instruments are often recovered that way.
