Cheers fellas. It's a 2012 model - according to the guy in the shop the previous owner bought it earlier in the year, then traded up to a custom shop. It's pretty much mint condition, a few shallow scratches in the finish on the back (as you'd expect from a few months use). As I say, I've not a lot of experience with real Les Pauls, so it might not be the best, but it feels nice to me.

The cherry sunburst is nice, and I've always liked that finish, but I though I'd go with something else (as my Epiphone is the same) - but, this is what they had. I love it though, it's just so well made, it's a joy to look at and handle (even if it is the wrong way round!).

I play golf right-handed, btw .

You'll never go wrong with the studio model. Of course it's one class lower than the custom one but the studio is professional instrument that does its job on 100%. Take it, and some day you'll buy the custom one. You'll own two of them. Cheers!

I bought a Les Paul Traditional in the end, which totally outclassed the Studio on this occasion. A Custom would be two or three steps higher still.

Lol. Yeah. A Studio is okay, but it's more than a "class" or step lower than a Custom. A Studio is like a whole flight over stairs lower than a Custom. You got the best one IMO*.

*I have a Traditional too
