I love my '74 Les Paul, my '61 Strat, my Alembic Epic 5, my Tacoma Thunderchief, my J-45, and my Taylor 314CE all equally but separately.

yeah but

yeah but if your house was on fire and you had only enough time to grab one guitar what would you grab ???? i would always grab the les paul first....... then if i had time i would come back for the rest........and if i still had time remaining i would wake the wife and have her carry the amps......

And what was your address again? :D

I was going to say "If I had a real Les Paul I'm sure I would love it" but then I remembered that I had an LP Studio when they first came out (before they were called Studios) and I unloaded it ASAP. I thought it sucked. But then, IMO it wasn't a 'real' Les Paul. And it was red. I hate red guitars.

I love my 1980 Hamer Special.....so much so that I sold my Les Paul to my brother. Of course, I sold it to him on the condition that if he ever got rid of it, I'd get first dibs. So I guess I liked my Les Paul.

That Les Paul weighs a solid 10 pounds. You know you have a guitar strapped on when you're playing that thing. Always loved (I mean, really liked) that about that guitar.

Glad you're happy with your LP. Does your wife love your Les Paul too?

les paul

actualy i have had it a long time.... its a 1983 black custom.. i have many other guitars... but the tone on this one is perfect... and the neck... fast.... the wife has been jelous since the day i got it :D

Then it would be the Strat. It's a '61, mostly original, with an unusual finish. It would be impossible to replace. The Paul, though I love it dearly, is just a regular old black/gold Custom. Expensive to replace, yes, but there are millions of them around. I'd probably grab my '64 BFDR with the other hand, though...

I don't have a Les Paul, but once I had an affair with someone else's.

Ah, the memories....

Well, yeah

you've got a Custom. That's a different story. Ebony makes all the difference.

I have a black custom LP. It's a good axe, but I have a say, I like my PRS 20th, better for playing and sound. I have a lot of very high end axes so this is a very honest opinion.

I can't figure it out either. I am a devoted Gibsonaholic.

Same here. It was about a '72 Deluxe w/mini humbuckers, cherry sunburst. It had bite like you wouldn't believe.

deluxe
