I'm very familiar with The Upper Room. A couple of good friends of mine were doing a lot of session work with Ken. Bob, you don't know Andy O'Conner or Preston Vader do you? Andy's a very good drummer. He played with Jules Blatner for a long time. Ken was doing the Javier Mendoza thing most recently.

Yes, Andy is a great guy, he did some drums on my friend Dave Whites instrumental tune while we were there. He also let us use Kens PA system a few years ago in 97 when we had a Heep convention in St. Louis at the Cheshire Hotel. Andy is one great guy. I am not familiar with the others you mentioned. bOb

Andy has drummed on quite a few projcts for me and I engineered a solo project he's doing at my studio. He's a pretty good friend.

I broke not one but TWO les pauls on stage.

Both cracked right behind the headstock, one of them giving up a huge chippy. (Note: tossing guitars into drumkit in obvious Nirvanistic plaguarism = unhealthy instruments)

Anyway, me pappy? He's a handy one.

He took some Elmer's wood glue and a wood clamp and glued the lesser damaged one right back together. I swear it sounded as good as before and I recorded two albums with her afterwards.

As for Gibby #2. Arrrghh.. she didn't take well to her plastic wood fillings sounding dull and lifeless. Nary a day when the intonation didn't diver at the octaves. arrghhh.. shiver me timbars she's ruuneed. Can i replace the neck completely?

Definately poor form to throw your axe at the drummer (no matter how much they deserve it). Gibson's a little more problematic than say, a Fender, being glued rather than bolt on but I'm sure a decent luthier could do it.

Is this the same Bob Rivers who does the Twisted Radio show? Used to be a DJ at KISW here in Seattle until recently, my friend Jim McCarty played in a band called Legal Tender talked to him alot when they were trying to get airplay of their southernish rock during the grunge years...

Wierd if its the same Bob Rivers.

Peace,
Dennis
