The Presonus Audiobox has a knob that that turns up the inputs and the playback so when you record you turn it to the left which makes the input volumes higher. Turn it to the right to hear what you recorded through the moniters. I just finished a perfect guitar track only to realize that I had the knob turned to playback. Do I need to redo the track? The waveform is there and the leds are reading about -12 Db..will it be fine in the rest of the mix?:o

That knob is just a mixer to determine what's coming out of your speakers, to balance between input signal and output signal. It doesn't affect your record level, that's affected by the knobs labels 1 and 2 (respective to inputs 1 and 2). So what you were doing was listening back to the guitar after it was being recorded. This is fine and I would always listen back to the 'off-tape' signal so you can hear what's being recorded. -12dB will be fine. If it sounds ok when you listen back it'll be fine.
