I have $420 and i Need 2 Mics

I have to Sell all of my mics and other Stuff (TLM103,KSM44,SPB1,DMP3,VM,TM) Due to a financial Situation and now my budget is $420 and i Need 1 or 2 Used Mics to record Male and Female Voices.What do you recommend guys? How about a KSM32 And a AT3035 (Used).

Other Options? HELP PLEASE!

get a shure sm7b and a at 4040

You can allmost steal that AT 3035 on ebay usually under $100...the KSM32 can be had for arround $300...its a shame to have to give up everything...but there is some good stuff out there on a budget if you look.

I heard it was brilliant on most everything but vocals...but I havent heard that much to be able to give you an experienced opinion... and there isnt many videos online using it...the build is very nice.

2 used mics? I would choose Shure SM7B and AKG C2000B. What the one doesn't work on, the other one will. And the C2000B will be good for pretty much any instrument you can name, as well as a pretty fair vocal mic. I can't think of a single thing you couldn't record with one or the other of those mics. And as far as the Bluebird goes- Yes, that's a fair price, and it's a mic a lot like that C414- a good instrument mic, that's good on a very, very good singer. In other words, it's more honest and accurate than it is forgiving or flattering.-Richie

The funny thing about the SM7b is that all the ebay listings are asking for more than most retail outlets...I can get them for $280 at guitar center after making them match lowest internet price...but there are buy it now listings all over ebay for $350.

You will find that sort of mic sounds better with more females than males.

It's not so much about male vs. female. It would sound better on the Corrs than Ozzy Osbourne. I would be more likely to put a Bluebird in front of a Freddy Mercury than a Gwen Stefani.-Richie
