after all was done my EV re20 slipped out of my guitar case and onto a hard carpet ground about 3.5ft drop.

then in a different fashion, i managed to do it again.

i cant test at home, dont have a preamp.

will it be OKAY? :( i know you can use some mics (sm58) as a self defense weapon without harming their performance.

is the re-20 a tough cookie like its buddy sm58?

i sure hope so.

It should be fine ... but as soon as you can better check it out to be sure.

Once it's all hocked up with the monitors on slowly tilt the 20 back and forth to see if you hear anything moving around inside then go for a short blast of baby rattle movement, if you don't hear anything moving around and you feel that it sounds as good as it did before the *sudden stop from free fall* then your golden.

Now you don't hold small children do you? :D

should be fine! they're a tough mic.

although, if you do have problems, it's worth knowing, there's a UK lifetime warranty on re20 capsules.
no receipt needed, no questions asked.
