the only option i have is primary dx for sound. I was wondering if asio4all would be a better option for me because im having latency problems, thanks

If you're using an on-board soundcard, yes get ASIO4all.
But the problem is that on-board soundcards are made with about 50-cents worth of chips for beeps, boops and light gaming (and cheapness of manufacturing).... NOT for quality music recording.
#1 Rule of Recording: You MUST replace the onboard soundcard.
