I actually like the song I recorded for this band

I recorded these guys and really like one of their songs. I think it could be a hit. The performance itself needs to be tweaked because I hear some timing issues with the drums int he intro and vocals during the bridge but other than that I think it came out pretty well with what I had to work with. The shittiest drum sound I've ever heard. But you work with what you got. Feel free to critique, I'm still a beginner but the guys were happy so I'm happy.

I thought it sounded pretty close to a live garage cut. Of course its a HORRIBLE quality MP3 so its hard to be sure.

Cool song! on the recording{listened thru headphones and they sound like sh*t}I can't really comment...Performace timeing issues on the guit/keys also besides the ones you mentioned..vocal performance is about 70% there..Very good "pop" song..needs some work,as of now its a pre production demo of a very good song...Needs to go to the next level...Good luck with it!

i think i've heard this song before, probably just the very generic I-V-VI-IV chord progression. haha maybe i'm being a bit harsh, i know i've fallen victom to that numerous times in my stuff. I'de like to hear the original mix of this, as the conversion to mp3 has degraded it somewhat.
 
Took a quick listen on phones...

mix wise sounds decent... nothing very wrong that stood out...
I like the background vocals...

To me the bottle neck is the performance... the vocalist is not up to par yet(but not too bad)...
I don't like the random synth thing in the beginning...

My band is What Exit
This band is called uberfunction.

We will be playing a show with them on April 17th in Hoboken, NJ at 10PM 34 Newark Street. Cover is 10 bucks.

Come down to the show and you will see that its not my band. Holy Sh*t what an impossible group of people here sometimes.

Yeah, I converted the mp3's to a lower quality because I was hosting them for those guys on my bands website and last time I did that with higher quality, I almost hit my bandwidth limits for the months (they ended up linking to it and at 10 MB a song, it killed my bandwidth numbers). So I compressed the mp3 as much as possible but I gave them the original waves and un-mixed OMF exports so they can do whatever they want with them. I told them that I'll just record them and mix a little but that is not my strong point. I told them to find someone else to mix if they want.

I am buying another house soon and hope to make a full fledged studio in there with another guy so I hope to re-record them.
 
recording wise the mix is pretty good. Maybe needs more bass.

Vocalist is terrible.

Song wise, I heard it before but so what. Everything sounds the same to me anyways with modern music.

I hate pretend "punk rawkers", so I won't be at the show.

p.s. your band is slighty less shitty than ubuttfusion (butt not by much)
