yo can i still got that ASSIST on the mix of my song submission -- seems like all my other projects have gone to the wayside for the moment!!!

chalin -- i will drop another line when i am ready to send -- im at work tonight and tomrrow night - it will be late when i get home - but thursday im good (i hope!!!) u want each "vocal" in a sep. wave though rite or how?

I took your design and flipped it around a little for the logo and quite a few other things. Check the site out and take a look at what I did. I kind of thought a clean yet grimy theme for this was a good idea.

Also, I have some artists still wanting to get stuff in for tha compilation. I'll need to set a final submit date here pretty soon. We've got room for it, but there needs to be a closure in submittals.

As for the websites, I want pictures of everyone involved in it for the artists section I made. This is where you're going to get your credits on the compilation as well as where people can find you on elsewhere. I plan to put bios of everybody involved in the project in there. So once I get the pics from everyone I should have a format as to how the bios will be and I'll let you guys know. *** I still have a lot of work to do with the site, but the work will be worth it...what's up there now is just something to give you guys visuals of what's going on. Something to say "this is what I'm going to be involved in...check back frequently and see what's up".

I don't know how everyone else plans to push the compilation, but I've thought about getting business cards made to advertise the site (as well as my own site for my stuff) to help spread word around about the area.

I think we got a good thing going here, and this is something that I personally have never been involved in or seen before. Looks like everything is starting to happen and unfold so it's all coming out well.

No offense fam, but that website looks kinda like a 4th grader made it. It doesn't look professional at all. I'm not sure if that's because of FreeWebs or if it's a design thing.

Also, what's the deal with sending you the wav file? I can send you the wav of my track, but due to the copyright and what not, I'm not down with sending you the beats and a capellas. Hope that's cool... Let me know what's good.
 
The main thing I heard about the design was how I split the frames on the home page. Other than that everything else I did got good feedback. You're more than welcome to send me over any design ideas you might have. It's not a me thing it's an us thing so any and all feedback is welcome. Also, keep in mind that this site is kind of like my rough draft before I do a final edit, just to see where people stand on it. I wouldn't do something like this without letting everyone involved express their opinions as well as offer suggestions and improvement ideas.

Also, is your song copyrighted on its own or not? I can understand where you're going with that as well as any concerns you would have about submitting a beat. If it does help any, I would be the only one who would have access to any of the separated files before they hit the website. I would be more than happy to dispose of any beats and acapella wav files that are sent in once everything is completed.

I guess this is me too cause I was just gonna send the wavs and nothing seperated. This is just my opinion but maybe alot of the songs just need to be mastered and see where we stand on that. I know alot of folks submitted tracks and if the quality isnt up snuff maybe they should be responsible for getting you guys better mixes. My tracks included. Alot of us have recorded and mixed our own tracks as far as I know. What I learned from school is the recording has to be good first or no matter what you do the mix will sound like trash. So IMO it just seems the best way is to leave the resposibility of submiting great mixes to the artist or producer and you guys at the top handle how the CD will be mastered.
 
Might be true. Truth be known I probably will need only the full wavs of the songs for volume comparison.

If you guys just want to send the full wavs of the tracks, that's fine with me. So what's best for you guys? yousendit?
 
I dont know U send it seems slow. Then there isnt a time meter to show you how long its gonna take. I tried to put something on there at 156 mb and the page ended up crashing on me. I would like to do the aim way but I dont know maybe I can send it to your 30gigmail account? I'm more than willing to give it another try if others are successful with it.
 
I can do aim....I can set up a time to set up transfers individually

Well, I was thinking about printing off some flyers N' posting them up everywhere (7-11, supermarket, other gas stations). Also given em out @ clubs I perform at or party at.

I'm still waiting on a couple of trax to use n' I'll get you my songs soon; hopefully.

Besides that; I been busy up my end, so Just wondering what happened to the $5 or $10 input for the website? We still gon do that?

Yeah that's still gonna happen. I'm still working on different design concepts for the site
