how is everything looking?

what phase is the project in? are yall waiting on more songs? chalin, did you get the song to Fiev and is it possible for you to do the radio edits?
 
Currently working on a Darq City Sophmore CD mastering project right now. As soon as I'm done with that I'll get that edit done. I havent even attempted to send my stuff as wav yet. I'll send everything I have as wave your joint and Soul B's joint when I get done with this project.

cool, thanks for hooking a playa up! i told beatmakers about your skillz. you can do a lot of business with these producers by making there beats sound a lot better with your mixing and mastering especially since your rates are very reasonable. that way when someone clicks on their song online it's polished and well mixed. a mastered song sounds better than a rough mix and will get more attention. a good example of this would be on beatbuy's page. just a thought though.

Ya know the pleasure is all mines. I may end up going that route just not sure yet got my hands in alot of pots.

Now there's more of a website for everyone to look at and check back for progress. On the listen section, I'll post the tracks once I get the space for the mp3s that we'll have and Bknot and myself decide on how the tracklisting should go. What you see there is just an example of how it will be.

Also now that I've got some shit on the web, I'll be setting up the paypal to pay for the web space and the domain that we'll need to finish off the job. Ain't no way I would ever advertise anything without a domain name.

thats whats up im glad to see you grindin on this shit. i feel bad i havent even made any effort to send you our song or anything. i may have a new one that we'd rather use anyway. i just posted a new thread trying to get some feedback on it you can find it there or just click my banner. let me know if you think we should use that track instead of the other one i sent you (PC Got Dough). either way ill get the wavs to you asap. one.
 
More like mixtape style...a freely available mixtape style available online to help spread word around about the people on it.

That's what's up....Sounds like it's going to be pretty diverse, as far as different styles. Do you plan do do some quality control on it, or is it just a free for all? If you get a chance peep the review Rolling Stone gave to the My Space Music compilation.

Right now, we've got the website up. I've got to get all of the tracks I have together and make a finalized tracklist and add that to the site. I'm still planning to get wavs of the acapella and beats separately for easier and cleaner mastering work.

I took your design and flipped it around a little for the logo and quite a few other things. Check the site out and take a look at what I did. I kind of thought a clean yet grimy theme for this was a good idea.

Also, I have some artists still wanting to get stuff in for tha compilation. I'll need to set a final submit date here pretty soon. We've got room for it, but there needs to be a closure in submittals.

As for the websites, I want pictures of everyone involved in it for the artists section I made. This is where you're going to get your credits on the compilation as well as where people can find you on elsewhere. I plan to put bios of everybody involved in the project in there. So once I get the pics from everyone I should have a format as to how the bios will be and I'll let you guys know. *** I still have a lot of work to do with the site, but the work will be worth it...what's up there now is just something to give you guys visuals of what's going on. Something to say "this is what I'm going to be involved in...check back frequently and see what's up".

I don't know how everyone else plans to push the compilation, but I've thought about getting business cards made to advertise the site (as well as my own site for my stuff) to help spread word around about the area.

I think we got a good thing going here, and this is something that I personally have never been involved in or seen before. Looks like everything is starting to happen and unfold so it's all coming out well.
