That sounds good. I think I've heard better rap and hip hop in this forum than I have on the radio...that's why I'll support underground way before I support major releases (unless I've downloaded it and liked what I downloaded).

Gully Jewelz on deck!!! I want in!!! As I said in the PM --FIEVA-- i know and i knew i wanted to in

It just took me a minute to find the post . . .. shhhh!!! im stealin company work time as we speak --

I got beats n rhymes . . . and some "push" possibilities!!!

Let's do it then Ya'll!

Whose up right now to start this bad boy off!

Here's an updated list. If I'm missing anything or anyone, let a brotha know. So far it looks like this is gonna need to be a double CD like we thought. Could everyone who hasn't already send the following info to me @ hammerback1@gmail.com (PM's would get full if I did it there). Also gmail stores 2 gigs of info in your mailbox, so if you need one of would like to have one, hit me up and I'll send an invite for it since it's invite only.

Rap handle:
Real name:
Home address:
Telephone number:
Label that you belong to or represent (if applicable):
Website (if applicable):
On each track that you submit in, I'll also need to have real names and handles on anybody else on the track that we wouldn't know about. What good is that if you're represented, but your crew isn't? Also, if the song will appear on your own work, I'd need that too so that if it is, people know they can hear more of you and they'll know where to get the music from since your website would be advertised.

So here's the list we have so far...

Executive Producers:
Fieva of Hammerback Records
Bknot of Boss Productions

Producers/Beats (2):
Fieva
BEATMAKERS

Artists (9):
Fieva
PCP
rnb259
Nick Springfield
Change of Poets
Carter
Jugalo180
wargasms
Gully Jewelz

Any questions, hit my PM or the thread.
Keep it gravy,

Fie

Fieva, check your e-mail fam. I sent you a submission, and all my info.

Oh snap, I've seen your site when I was real new to HR fam and didn't realize it.

Yo bknot. Since I postponed the trip to Dallas this weekend, we should be good to discuss what we've got on Sunday. I'll send you the tracks I have on Saturday so you can hear them too. Then on Sunday, I'll call you and we'll discuss everything across the board. So far, what I've heard, I'm diggin'. It's got different vibes all over the place. I think this is gonna be some ill shit. I've also got some paperwork that I'll write up next week that we'll need, basically to cover our asses.

Yo Beat,

I was listenin' to tha Step By Step beat...I still keep thinkin' it should be 16 bars a piece. I really think that shit will grab peeps and make 'em bob heads and take notice. And that's real.

Jug, can't wait to see what's comin' on your verse dogg.

i know i tossed the 16bar idea around but i think the whole real hot but real short thing is classic its a challenge to write 8 barse i think the only way i would want to do 16 is if i did two of them back to back and ended with the sample lets see what thefinal product is and then decide

I can agree with that. I mean it's not like that's the only song where people are gonna get a little taste of our talents, but they'll get a nice taste from that.

Is there a place we should be "going" to receive the beats or has that not been done as of yet?

Fieva -- what happened with that "role model" joint ?

I'm still waiting on Carter for that one. It's still sitting here in my Cubase folders, I haven't forgotten it. Edit: Our parts have already been mixed in so all I need is Carter's verse and then do a final mix and then master it. Cake.

There will be a place to get the whole project when it is completed, and I will announce that here.

Fie.

Questions concerning the project.

I got an email wanting more detail concerning the project. I answered them in the email. Since I still have that info and it's good info, I'll post it here as well. If there's any questions about the project that you'd like to know either email me or post it in the thread.

Are you and Bknot going to be weeding out the bad links in the chain or will anything that is submitted be included in the project? I'm just curious, because I'm sure some newbie will just see this and want in... which is fine, but I don't think we want a 12 year old rapping into a computer mic over an internet connection sound. There should be some guidelines to follow with format and stuff like that. It will be too hard to have everyone using the same programs etc. but there should be some standard.
And due to the large array of different people on this project, the levels will be all over the place. Is this going to be mastered? If so, by who?

Ok first, Bknot and myself will be listening to all the tracks that we get one by one and discussing them over the phone. We'll be discussing if the tracks are hot or are lacking. We both feel that by us doing it this way, if we told one of the artists (especially fam) that something needed a little more or a little less, it would be taken as constructive criticism and not just straight haterism. Even my own tracks that I submit will be reviewed by Bknot and myself, so even I'm not exempt to that. The purpose is that if we want to get the attention that we really deserve with all of our combined talents and skills, there are levels that have to be held up to. But of course, realize that fam gets first dibs before anyone else...technically we may just do this as a fam (and their affiliated crews) only type of deal. Why should we allow just any dumbass to join in when we don't know what they're about.

Ok, now about the levels of different tracks. I had planned to master all of them so that they all have the same volume level. This may take a little while, but it'd be highly worth it since you never know who could be listening to the CD and be interested in one of us.

The main standards that we have in place so far is that everyone should have an edited version of the songs that they send to me if the song is not radio friendly as we're planning to get versions of the CD into hands of people who can either get radio play, or get it to an A&R. I understand that we don't all use the same programs, so we wouldn't be able to place standards that way (unless we all either bought the same shit or pirated it, neither of which I think is necessary).

Once the whole project is finished, I plan to post it in an anonymous website, strictly for the purpose of all of the artists and beat makers involved to hear the final version and make comments/recommendations as to any additional ideas. Like I said before, if we're going to do it , we have to do it as a full team, which means while Bknot and myself are coordinating it, we all have an equal say in the final product.
