Hughes & Kettner Tri-Amp

my brother has a Hughes & Kettner triamp and it sounds awesome, as well as being just an awesome amp... BUT he got it used and its been having problems and he's taken it back to the amp repair guy like 3 times, and he cant afford it anymore. So now it has this clicking noise about every 10 seconds, and our whole band is trying to record; its getting obnoxious. does anyone know how to fix these kinds of problems?

Is this sound occurring only while he plays? Or as soon as you turn it on?
If it is while he plays only, I think it can be the coil touching the magnet or something.

If it's all the time, I think it may have something to do with the power source somewhere.

Once again, I can be 100% wrong.
