powderfinger-Hi Drew,
Thanks for the suggestion,I'll definitly give it a try.
JMarcomb-Hey Jeff,
Thanks very much, coming from an acoustic ace like you, that's a real compliment!
Really glad you liked the sound.
The rythym part is doubled,I only have one small cap right now.
I don't have any noise reduction yet, guess I'll have to watch it next time.
Thanks.
jake-owa-I put a call into Tom,let's see if he gets back to me!
Thanks
chrisharris-Hey Chris!
Thanks my friend, glad you liked the harp.
Don't know if I could turn it up any,it's pretty much maxed right now.
"Call me weird, but as far as effects go, I don't think this needs anything."
O.K.,your weird, but I'm not going to add any effects anyway!
Thanks man.
mixmkr-Hey Chris, thanks for taking the time to listen!
I have to agree with you, sounds better than most of my other stuff.
Problem is,I don't know why?
Mabey because I only used a small dia.condenser, and no big production.
No vox either.
Or it's the lack of processing and I really hit the levels hard too.
Like I was telling Kramer,I even recorded this in 16 bit by mistake.
I guess mabey,if your not an experienced engineer, engineer as little as possible!
Thanks.
Doug H-Thanks man,I appreciate the listen.
Ya,Neil's the man!
Glad you thought it sounded o.k. without effects.
Thanks for the drum tips!
I agree about the guitar panning,I usually don't pan them so wide.
I did it to help seperate everything since I couldn't do any eq cuts.
wfaraoni-Hi Bill!
Thanks for the listen my friend.
I really appreciate your kind words!
The acoustics are two takes,I played it twice and panned it wide.
The lead is the same mic, just a little closer to the guitar panned straight up.
I really think I have to stop messing with my acoustic tracks, and leave them raw!
I could listen to your fine playing anytime Bill, especially the fingerstyle stuff.
Wish I could play like that!
Hope your backs feeling better man!
Thanks,
Pete
